Whether you’ve never written anything before or you’re experienced in another kind of writing, Introduction to Playwriting offers step-by-step guidance in a fun, supportive and creative environment. The Really Short Play Showcase - transform your story idea into the all-important performance ready script and get it in front of an audience! Through weekly discussions and writing exercises you will explore how to structure a play for an audience, and in doing so, begin to understand how the actor and director approach performance. Throughout the 9-week course, participants will write and develop a short play, one that will be featured at an evening showcase of all the works following the last class. This course is best suited to those with some experience or who wish to build on the techniques covered in an Introduction to Playwriting.
