The Acting Company was founded in 2013 by fellow actors Chris Ralph and John Muggleton, who met and became fast friends and collaborators during a production of David Mamet's Speed-the-Plow.

In 2015, after he and his partner Dana had their first child , John stepped away from co-ownership of the company, and is now the Manager of Youth and Adult Programming at the Glebe Neighbourhood Group. John continues to teach acting and playwriting as part of the performing arts program at GNAG.
