Fun, social & challenging! This program explores acting, improv & scene study, while focusing on content that is relevant and of interest to adults ages 55+. The afternoon classes not only offer excellent training in stage craft, but are also a great way to meet new people, socialize and have fun! Whether you’re returning to the stage to brush up on skills or fulfilling a lifelong dream of studying theatre, we’re here to tell you it’s really never too late.

Studio 55: Acting for Beginners with Chris Ralph

 Discover the world of acting in a lively, fun and supportive atmosphere. Ideal for those with little or no acting experience, the course provides participants the opportunity explore acting in a fun & practical way. Everything from acting techniques and methods to scene study and character development is covered in this introductory course. 

Laughs and new friendships are guaranteed!

Studio 55: Comedy and Drama Acting with Chris Ralph

New acting exercises and scene study!


This 7-week course is intended for those who are interested in diving deeper into their acting craft and exploring new techniques to create characters and improve your scene study technique.  Our scene study will explore pieces from the world of comedy and drama.

Studio 55: Showcase with Chris Ralph

The class that ends with a performance! This unique course offers participants an opportunity to develop a practical process for acting --- through preparation, rehearsal and right up to the performance. This 8 week course is an excellent opportunity to build upon your existing skills. Participants will work with a director on a one-act play or scene showcase throughout the 8 week course and perform it for an invited audience of family and friends!
