Shakespeare Sonnets: Acting with your Head and Heart! (ONLINE)

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! Taught by Chris Ralph

For an actor, sonnets are the perfect enchilada!

Shakespeare's Sonnets are like little self-contained scenes, only fourteen lines long, during which high-stakes emotions and personal crises are explored by the character and finally resolved.

Chris will teach you to use your head, your heart, your voice, and your gut to crack these perfect little dramatic puzzles. The techniques you learn will be directly applicable to monologues and scene work for all plays!  In this six-week online course, in addition to exploring sonnets together, each participant will work on a given sonnet (or choose their own), exploring the language and structure, and following the emotional journey in order to understand how to present it to an audience. In the end, we will perform them for each other. (No memorization required!)
