Most people hardly ever think about their voice, but did you know that the words you speak only account for about 7 percent of a successful conversation? Most people think way more about what to say rather than how to say it.
The goal of this new class is to help identify vocal habits and to learn easy, repeatable exercises that you can use everyday to address your vocal challenges. You will learn to loosen and free the voice so that you can communicate with more clarity, spontaneity, and power, and along the way, you you will become more confident, more interesting, and less anxious sounding.
“Without a doubt, I've learned more about myself and about acting in Voice classes than I did in many of my Acting classes. Open up your world by opening up your voice.” - Chris Ralph

Have you been curious about Shakespeare but feeling a tad intimidated to give it a try?
In our opinion, there is no better introduction to the world of Shakespeare than starting with his sonnets. At just fourteen lines, every sonnet is a self contained story about love, betrayal and / or heartbreak. You will be surprised by how contemporary his sonnets sound and how relatable they are to our own lives.
In this practical course, students will learn to speak and experience Shakespeare - and along the way, you will marvel at how Shakespeare managed to pack so much intensity, wisdom, joy and despair into fourteen little lines.
No experience necessary!
"Of all of our classes, the Sonnet class is perhaps the most thrilling. Why? Because we have a perceived idea of what Shakespeare is like, but this course brings Shakespeare - his passion, the stakes, and the beauty to life. You will never look at Shakespeare the same way again." -- Chris Ralph
Evening Class: Shakespeare's Sonnets
Thursdays, April 8 to May 13

Valuable and easily approachable, studying accents can best be summed up as FUN. You don't have to be an actor to appreciate accents. Learning an accent is like gymnastics for the articulators! It helps to add clarity and purpose to your everyday voice, too.
Are you a fan of British television and film? In this new class, students will spend six weeks perfecting the key London accents: RP, Estuary and Standard London. Rather than focusing on drills and short example sentences, we will work from scripts and prose, and you will receive helpful feedback along the way.
And of course we will have a ton of laughs along the way!
No experience with accents necessary!

As a self-professed "acting technique nerd," Chris will introduce the techniques, systems, and methods of the world's greatest acting teachers. You will learn where and how these techniques originated, which actors benefited from using them, and how you can apply these techniques to your acting today.
This is an active and practical class. The first part of each class will provide some background into the technique's origin and its creator, as well as where it fits into the development of acting technique throughout modern times. And then we will practice the technique using new and exciting exercises!
FYI - You don't need to be an actor to enjoy this class. You might just be wondering how and where your favourite actors trained and what makes them so darn fantastic!
